We now have the big girl seat on the stroller. The bassinet, while lovely for many reasons, wasn't that great for some other reasons, like Lucia has to be kept sitting up after she eats or she'll spit up for sure. The big girl seat, with the Snuzzler (which is the greatest product name EVER), is perfect. She can look around and see things (mostly me making faces at her or saying HI over and over again to try to get her to smile), and she's kept upright. It has three positions, so if she falls asleep we can also recline it so she's *almost* laying down. We've ordered another Snuzzler so we don't have to keep transferring this one in and out of the car seat.

Wow, Lucia is growing fast! We are still using the bassinet for Maya. She loves it so much that it's now difficult to get her to sleep in the crib. Maya is already getting a LOT more active and demands a lot more attention after feedings. She wants to play and interact more and more. When do parents sleep and get rest???
Hi Mattias! She's eating us out of house and home! She's growing like a weed for sure. She's also active after and before feedings now - Pete and I looked at each other the other day and said, "She's awake, what do we do now?" :) We have like 2 toys for her to play with, so looks like we'll ask Santa for more.
haha, yeah we are asking ourselves the same thing. We are drowning in toys already (donated by friends who saw an opportunity to clean out the garages) but I don't think she is very interested in toys. She seeems to like it when we hold her upright and talk to her.
By the way, the "shushing" thing from that video works wonders. She was reallllllly active last night and I couldn't get her to slow down and go to sleep. Started "shushing" and within seconds it was like I flipped a switch and she relaxed. Pure magic!
The shushing is amazing, isn't it? God I wished that worked last night. We had 90 minutes of her screaming her freaking head off. No kidding. Ninety. Minutes. The only thing that calmed her down for like 5 minutes was the bath. Pete finally swaddled her and like magic, she quieted right down.
she looks so tiny in that! her little feet just go to the edge - i love it. try the bundle me too if you have one - for the chilly nights - danny just snuggles in like it's a sleeping bag and man, i want to jump in there too. cozy.
MP isn't she a peanut? We just ordered the bundle me lite (along with the Snuzzler) from Target.com. I'm excited to get it!
