A Brief Window of Smiling

Little Miss has been teething this week, interested in pee pee and poop, and starting to throw temper tantrums. So um yeah, we've been kinda spent at night. However, she went to day care today and was in a surprisingly fun mood tonight (despite missing her afternoon nap). We'll put the rest of the pics on the password-protected site. Prepare yourself for maximum cuteness.

A Great (and Safe!) Trip!

We headed to Reno this weekend to attend the wedding of Jen and Jonas, our friends who we met through the Young Scandinavians Club but who also live around the corner from us. Last week while the SF Bay area had tons of rain, Tahoe and Reno were getting hit with tons of snow. Starting Wednesday night, we were more than a little concerned we'd have trouble getting up there safely. We booked a hotel room in Sacramento to break up the trip halfway, so we could do half Friday night while Lucia was sleeping -- that worked out GREAT.

As we started on Saturday morning and ascended into Nevada, we realized the roads were plowed quite well and we didn't have to worry that much. The scariest part of the trip was trekking up the mountain where they had the ceremony, and even that wasn't bad at all. GIANT PHEW!

We had a great time celebrating with them; Little Miss was pretty cute and fun, and the dinner was fantastic. Special thanks to Josh for watching Mrs. B! Thanks Josh!

We Miss You

Dear JJ Cole System Bag changing pad,

Where are you? We last saw you last weekend, and can't locate you anywhere. While it's possible Lucia has you stashed in her toy bin, we're becoming increasingly worried we won't see you again. You are so handy with your little handle. Please show up. We need you. We love you.

A Fantastic Trip!

We had a wonderful time in Norway. It was cold, but so cozy and lovely. We loved getting spoiled by Nina and Leif, and meeting new and old friends along the way. Christmas, or God Jul, was intimate and special. Thank you Nina, Leif, Ole Morten, Helene and our friends for hosting us and showing us a very memorable visit. We love you!
