iPhone case milestone achieved!
Today we finally achieved a major manufacturing milestone, the first prototype cases are now being machined but it has been a long road with many obstacles and delays making todays events very gratifying. The machining is done in a milling machine that is controlled by a computer that receives data from the computer model I have developed, and we are now engaged in the process of fine tuning the tool's cut paths to make sure the aluminum and the plastic band go together precisely fits snuggly around the phone.

Win a free case!
I have over the last few months been part of a startup and designed cases for the iPhone and iPad. These cases are high-end machined aluminum cases not the run-of-the-mill plastic crap you see everywhere. They will sell for $100, but here is your chance to win a free case:
Over the next couple of weeks we are going to run a number of drawings for free products on our EDGE Facebook fan page. Early participants will have a significantly greater chance to win since they will participate in every drawing. Only thing you have to do is:
1) Like the EDGE Facebook page www.facebook.com/DesignByEDGE
2) Go to the Wall, click on the Kickstarter link and like the video.
Good luck!

Back at Work
I went back to work yesterday. It was pretty draining on many levels. I looked at pictures of Lucia throughout the day, which only made me miss her more. I packed my lunch and snacks, plus my gym bag, plus my computer bag, and managed somehow to make it up the stairs to my office. It was good to see everyone, and WEIRD as hell to be working again. The last time I did this job I didn't have a baby! I didn't know Lucia at all -- she was just this squirmy worm in my belly! It's very strange. I miss her very much, but I'm also kinda thankful for the break during the day (sorry Pete!). I was so exhausted last night I wasn't much help to Mr. Mom Pete. I hope that changes as I get used to this!
